Two county residents to compete in Miss Pennsylvania USA
Two Butler County young women will compete Dec. 1 through 3 for the 2018 Miss Pennsylvania USA and the 2018 Miss Pennsylvania Teen USA titles at the Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh International Airport Hotel.
The 2017 Miss Butler County USA, Arielle Alfonso, will vie for the Miss Pennsylvania title.
Alfonso, 19, is the daughter of Denise and Juan Alfonso of Gibsonia. She is a 2017 graduate of Mars High School and a freshman at Penn State Behrend in the honors program majoring in computer engineering technologies with a minor in business management.
The new Miss Pennsylvania USA will go to the Miss USA pageant televised on the Fox network.
The 2017 Miss Butler County Teen USA, Amanda Pristas, 17, is the daughter of Nancy and John Pristas of Cranberry Township. She is a junior at Seneca Valley High School where she is a member of the National Honor Society, is captain of the pompon squad and participates in school musicals.
The winner will go on to represent the state in the national Miss Teen USA pageant.
Both girls had their entry fee paid by the Miss Butler County USA and Miss Butler County Teen USA pageants produced and directed by Mrs. Marilyn E. Kane and her daughter, Marilyn Kane.
