Nickles Spryn
Nickles Spryn, 92, of Butler died Wednesday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.
Born Sept. 6, 1925, in Lyndora, he was a son of Michael and Helyn (Domaradzki) Spryn.
He was self-employed as owner and operator of Kwik Kafe in Butler for 50 years.
He was a member of St. Michael Greek Catholic Church and also the Butler Moose Lodge. He loved Notre Dame football.
A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Barbara Rose (Lohmuller) Spryn; his children, Nicki Spryn of Butler, Barbara Spryn of Marietta, Ga, Gregory (Lucinda) Spryn of Williamsburg, Va., Charles (Jennifer) Spryn of Butler, Rachael Spryn of Butler, and Kathryn (Joel) Smiglewski of Butler; six grandchildren; one sister, Anne Janusz of Seattle, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Michael, Peter and John Spryn.
SPRYN — Friends of Nickles Spryn, who died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. Parastas services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, also at the funeral home.Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael Greek Catholic Church, 610 Hansen Ave., Lyndora, with the Rev. Douglas Lorance, officiating.
