Gerry F. Charney
Gerry F. Charney, 64, of Adams Township passed away peacefully at his home Saturday after losing a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on May 16, 1953 in Pittsburgh, PA, son of the late Andrew & Luemma (Gillespie) Charney. He lived each day to the fullest with a love for his family and business, Charney Precision Sharpening.
He was the beloved husband for 39 years of Kimberly Huckestein Charney; the father of A. Tyler (Amanda) Charney and Kaitlin (Bill) Warfield; the dear brother of Andrea (Peggy) Black, Gary (Peggy) Charney, Faye Charney, Luanne (John) Wee and the late Andy Charney; the proud pappy to three grandchildren, Aidan Charney, Aubrey Charney and Evan Warfield; the son in-law of James (Blanche) Huckestein Sr.; and brother in-law of James (Babs) Huckestein Jr.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Gerry had a crowd-pleasing sense of humor that brought a smile to his family and many friends. Gerry was passionate about his grandchildren, golf buddies and longtime high school friends. He was greatly loved by all and will be sadly missed.
CHARNEY — Friends of Gerry F. Charney, who died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, will be welcomed from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, where services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VNA Hospice, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001.
