Kyle A. Verikas, 29, of Mars passed away on Saturday.

Born on July 14, 1988, in Florence, S.C., he was the son of Laurene (Zupancic) Verikas and the late Regis Verikas; grandson of R.F. and Patricia (Kopec) Zupancic; brother of Kristin Verikas and Kevin (Britany) Verikas; uncle of Kevin and Tyler Verikas; nephew of Marilyn Zupancic, Wayne (Rebecca) Zupancic, Karen Zottola, Bruce (Mindy) Verikas, Dale (Bernie) Verikas, and the late Michael (Becky) Zupancic; and survived by many cousins and dear friends.

Kyle ultimately lost his battle with drug addiction and struggled with substance abuse for many years. He will be dearly missed by his family, nephews, many friends, and loved the years with his beloved beagle mix, Max.
