Brenda L. Shaffer, 53, of Sarver passed away on Thursday at the Good Samaritan Hospice after a long battle with multiple sclerosis.

Born April 20, 1964, in Albany, Ga., she was the daughter of George Bowersox and Mavis (White) Bowersox.

Brenda had been a baker at the former Boldy's Restaurant. She enjoyed fishing and doing crafts.

Surviving are her husband, John E. Shaffer, whom she married Oct. 5, 1991; one son, Devin Byers of Saxonburg; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Mandy Bowersox and Joyce (Pat) Bolte, both of Sarver.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
