Rocco P. “Pete” Colonello

Rocco P. “Pete” Colonello, 86, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, died Tuesday morning at the Butler Veterans Hospital Hospice.

Born in Pittsburgh on Sept. 8, 1931, he was the son of the late Rocco and Lucy (Marsh) Colonello.

Pete was a carpenter with the Carpenters Union. He was a member of the Penn Glade Lions Club and the Sons of Italy in Florida.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of Holy Sepulcher Church in Glade Mills.

Surviving are three daughters, Catherine (Rich) Lucas of Denver, N.C., Joanne (Eric) Tisdale of Valencia, and Lucy (Thomas) Laslavic of Thomaston, Maine; three sons, Larry (Laurel) Colonello of Valencia, Eugene (Vicki) Colonello of Callery, and Mark (Debra) Colonello of Valencia; and his 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann (Jancse) Colonello, whom he married Sept. 23, 1950, and who died July 27, 2007; and by his brothers, Edward, Francis, Anthony and John Colonello.

COLONELLO — Friends of Rocco P. “Pete” Colonello, who died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will be private.Burial will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Township.Memorials may be made to the Sgt.
