Charles D. Docherty

Charles D. Docherty, 86, of Saxonburg, formerly of Hampton Township died Friday morning at Concordia of Cabot.

Born in Pittsburgh on Nov. 10, 1931, he was the son of the late Charles J. and Rae Gladys (Price) Docherty.

Chuck had been the corporate president and board member of CID Associates in Sarver.

He was a member of Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church in Glade Mills and the Holy Sepulcher Knights of Columbus Council 10175.

Surviving are his wife, Marlane J. (Bauer) Docherty, whom he married on June 18, 1952; his children, Kelly Jude of Sarver, Rick (Diane) of North Hills, Scott (Amy) of Valencia and Casey (Nicole) of Gibsonia; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his brothers, John and James of Hilton Head, N.C., and David and Donald of Charlotte, N.C.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Miles.

DOCHERTY — Friends of Charles D. Docherty, who died Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Sepulcher Church, 1304 E. Cruikshank Road, Butler, with the Rev. Robert Cedolia officiating.Everyone is asked to please meet at the church.Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hampton Township.Memorials may be made to the church or to St. Vincent DePaul Society, 1243 North Franklin St., Pittsburgh, PA 15233.Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
