Dorothy J. Chvala
Dorothy J. Chvala, 79, of Harmony passed away Tuesday while under the care of UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.
Born Feb. 15, 1938, in Zelienople, she was the daughter of the late Clarence McClelland and Emma Allen McClelland.
Dorothy was one of 13 children. She was a 1956 graduate of Zelienople High School. She belonged to the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Hungarian Club of Zelienople.
She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, oil painting and gardening.
Dorothy will be dearly missed.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Doug Chvala of Harmony, Brian Chvala and his wife, Barb, of Prospect and LuAnn Kapp and her husband, David, of Zelienople; her siblings, Carol Summerville of Zelienople, Lois McAvoy of Zelienople, Mary Wilson of Corsica and Bill McClelland of Evans City.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Chvala, who passed away Dec. 25, 2006.
CHVALA — The family of Dorothy J. Chvala, 79, who died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A blessing service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev.
