Darrell L. Bowers Jr., 63, of Petrolia passed away Saturday at Good Samaritan Hospice.

He was born Jan. 29, 1955, in Harwick, Pa., and was the son of the late Darrell Lee Bowers Sr. and Ruth (Grubbs) Bowers of Locust, N.C.

Surviving are his mother, Ruth Bowers; his partner, Jennifer E. Rosengren; his son, Darrell (Marci) Bowers III of Midland, N.C.; a grandson, Danton Bowers of Hampton Township; two sisters, Diane (John) Haggerty of Midland, N.C., and Denise (Harold) Rishel of Greer, S.C.; and a brother, David (Jennifer) Bowers of Gibsonia.
