Family argument ends in gunfire
JEFFERSON TWP — A man is accused of firing a semi-automatic rifle Sunday night outside his home on Nursery Lane after a family argument.
State police said they arrested Zachary D. Bujak, 31, after several calls from neighbors reporting shots being fired shortly before 8 p.m. No one was injured and no property was reported struck by gunfire.
Troopers got there and found the defendant and his mother standing in the doorway of their house. He admitted shooting the rifle, identified as an AR-15, police said.
His mother told police he fired “multiple rounds” from the doorway, according to court documents. Bujak’s stepfather, who also was there, provided a similar account of what happened.
The shots, documents noted, were fired “toward other homes.”
