Sara C. Clowes

Sara C. Clowes, 90, of Washington, formerly of Saxonburg, passed away Friday at Premier Washington Health Center.

Born Sept. 11, 1927, in Worthington, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Templeton and Margaret Stewart Templeton.

Sara was a 1945 graduate of Worthington High School. She graduated from Allegheny Valley School of Nursing in 1948.

Sara worked as a nurse at Allegheny Valley Hospital, VA Healthcare in Aspinwall and Passavant Retirement Center.

Sara was a member of Buffalo Presbyterian Church in Sarver and the Order of the Eastern Star.

She enjoyed cross-stitch, crocheting, doing yard work and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her daughters, Judith C. Bollinger of Louisville, Ky., and Carole A. Farmer of Saxonburg; her son, William R. (LuAnn) Clowes of Franklin; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike) Radke of Butler, David (Kelley) Radke of Louisville, Ky., Sharon Williams of Louisville, Ky., and Katelyn Clowes of Franklin; her five great-grandchildren; her brother, William Templeton of Roanoke, Va.; her sister, Margaret Shick of Dormont; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Janice Radke; and her sister, Mildred Kaufman.

CLOWES — Friends of Sara C. Clowes, who died Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.There will be no services.Interment will follow in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.Please visit www.foxfuneralhomeinc.com.
