Thomas Erwaine Perschke
Thomas Erwaine Perschke, 86, of Butler passed away Wednesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born in New Castle on Aug. 23, 1931, he was a son of the late Norman A. and Nellie Dean Perschke.
Thomas was a retired union pipe fitter with Steamfitters Local 449.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of Christ Community United Methodist Church and a past member of White Oak Springs Presbyterian Church. Thomas dedicated his time to Habitat for Humanity and the Meridian Volunteer Fire Company.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Mae Cunningham Perschke, whom he married July 23, 1955; three sons, Thomas Perschke Jr. and his wife, Jenny, of Renfrew, Dr. Timothy Perschke and his wife, Sharon, of Butler, and Todd Perschke of Pittsburgh; two brothers, Norman Perschke of Warren, Pa., and Ed Perschke and his wife, Nancy, of Grove City; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
PERSCHKE — Friends of Thomas Erwaine Perschke, who died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, will be received from 6 until 9 p.m. Saturday in the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Sunday with the Rev.
