Jean M. Maier McMillen

Jean M. Maier McMillen, 89, of Evans City passed away Tuesday at Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople.

Born Sept. 19, 1928, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and L. Norma Crusan Maier.

Jean was a member of Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Evans City. She was very active in church functions. She attended the Circle Meetings and cooked and baked for the church dinners.

She enjoyed being a stay-at-home mother, where she enjoyed cooking and baking. She loved to camp and go fishing. Jean was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 219, where she and other members cooked dinners for many organizations.

Jean is survived by three children, Carol (Keith) Duncil and Jane (Robert) Casey, both of Evans City, and John (Maralu) McMillen of California; one sister, Gail (David) Howe of Mars; two brothers, Howard Maier of Warrendale and Arthur (Eileen) Maier of Indiana; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and nine step great-grandchildren.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur McMillen, who died Nov. 2, 1999; and three sisters and three brothers.

McMILLEN — A memorial service for Jean M. Maier McMillen, who died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at Westminster United Presbyterian Church, Evans City, with the Rev. Tom Harmon, officiating.She will be laid to rest in the Evans City Cemetery.Arrangements were entrusted to A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 328 W.
