Leah Miller Brown passed away Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, at Cabrini Nursing Home in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.

With her husband, Robert, she lived previously at the Woodlands in Ardsley, N.Y., after living for many years in Butler where she was active in Congregation Bnai Abraham.

Leah was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Library and Information Sciences.

After teaching chemistry to nursing students, Leah became the Reference Librarian and Associate Professor at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania.

She is survived by her son, Joel; her daughter, Amy; Amy's children, Efrat, Ariel and Yair; and her great-grandchildren, Ori, Eitan and Raphael.
