Walter J. Barnhart
Walter J. Barnhart, 77, of New Sewickley Township passed away on Thursday while under the care of the Wexford House Nursing Center.
Born Oct. 27, 1940, in Butler, he was the son of the late Harold R. and Helen Stoughton Barnhart.
Walter worked as a truck driver and operator for 50 years. He was an avid hunter and Steelers fan.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Bernice Henricks Barnhart; his daughter, Jennifer Barnhart of New York; his son, Jeremy Barnhart and his wife, Jennifer, of Butler; his brothers, Harold “Eugene” Barnhart of Portersville, and Larry Barnhart of Zelienople; his sisters, Evelyn Semel and her husband, Joseph, of Zelienople, Jacklyn Nickita and her husband, John, of Zelienople, and Dixie Leonard of Erie; also his seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by his two brothers, Gary and Karl Barnhart; and his sisters, Virginia “Ginny” Mang, Dolly Kniess and Audrey Altemus.
