Marjorie Ann “Peg” Leddon

Marjorie Ann “Peg” Leddon, 93, of Zelienople passed away on Tuesday while under the care of UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born Feb. 24, 1924, in State College, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe Lincoln and Elizabeth Louise Young Punnett.

Peg was a member of Calvin Presbyterian Church since 1962, where she had been the church secretary for many years. She worked as a secretary at the chaplain's service at the Butler VA Hospital.

Peg loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, hiking, backpacking and spending time with her grandchildren. One of her favorite places to visit was the Adirondack State Park in New York. She also enjoyed yardwork and tending to her garden and had a talent for playing the piano and flute.

She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

Peg leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Carolyn Jeanne (Fred P.) Gallo of New Wilmington, Jane Elizabeth (Robert) Morrow of Hartstown, Pa., and James Edward (Diane M.) Leddon Jr. of Cranberry Township; eight grandchildren, Pamela Forrester, Aimee Gallo, Amy Formica, Robert Morrow Jr., Brian Morrow, Aaron Leddon, Jena Doggett and Lindsey Leddon; six great-grandchildren; and her nephew, Charles P. Schmidt.

In addition to her parents, Peg was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Leddon Sr.; and a sister, Betty Jane Schmidt.

LEDDON — The family of Marjorie Ann “Peg” Leddon, who died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, will be received from noon until the time of a funeral ceremony at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev. Connie Frierson officiating.Peg will be laid to rest at St. Peter's Reformed Church Cemetery in Zelienople.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in Peg's honor to Calvin Presbyterian Church, 415 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, PA 16063, or to the Wounded Warriors Project, 301 Grant St., Suite 900, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
