Mae A. Beck, 92, of Butler passed away at 12:20 p.m. Friday at Concordia at the Orchard in Butler.

She was born Jan. 1, 1926, in Penn Township, to the late Floyd B. Gould and the late Edna L. Phillips Gould.

Mae was a homemaker and also worked at Pullman-Standard in the welding department from 1951 to 1962.

She was a member of St. John's Reformed Church. Mae was a former member of Meridian Area Retired Citizens and 60 Plus Bowling League. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling and flower gardening.

She is survived by one daughter, Edna Gilliland and her husband, Tom, of Butler; two grandchildren, Erin (Bryan) Chesnick of Baltimore, Md., and Clinton Gilliland of Los Angeles, Calif.; one great-grandson, Camden Chesnick; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton L. Beck, whom she married Feb. 14, 1946, and who died Jan. 29, 2003; and by her sister, Beatrice E. Powell.

BECK — Friends of Mae A. Beck, who died Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor James L. Smith Jr. of St. John's Reformed Church officiating.
