Marylou Wilson
Marylou Wilson, 91, of Newhaven Court in Butler, passed away Tuesday following a short illness. She was formerly of North Trail in Penn Township.
She was born on Dec. 24, 1926. Marylou was married to Dr. William E. Wilson, who preceded her in death in 2011.
Marylou is survived by her loving children, Rebecca (Neal) Sumner, Jenny Ruth (Gary Matthew) Kerns and William J. (Karen) Wilson, and her honorary daughter, Susan Scott, who was at her side during her final illness.
Marylou, a graduate of Brookville High School in Brookville, Pa., attended the University of Pittsburgh on a Latin scholarship just before marrying.
She taught dance at Arthur Murray and had a lifelong passion for jazz music and playing the piano daily.
Marylou was an avid reader until the end. She loved flowers, gardening, crossword puzzles and practicing Tai Chi. She was a Life Master in Bridge.
Marylou's greatest love was for her family and she remained friends with her children's friends. She had a special love for dogs and was seeking to pet the family's “four footers,” even as her health failed her on her last day.
She will be greatly missed by her loving family.
WILSON — There will be no visitation for Marylou Wilson, who died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018.
