Two arrested on drug charges
Butler police seized suspected heroin, crack cocaine and Suboxone early Sunday morning while answering a call for a possible burglary on Roosevelt Boulevard.
Arrested in the investigation were Saleem Boyd, 38, of Pittsburgh and Joshua D. Hollobaugh, 36, of Worthington, Armstrong County.
The defendants are in the Butler County Prison on $30,000 bail each.
Police said they got a call about 3:30 a.m. from a man living at a home on the 200 block of Roosevelt Boulevard. He believed that two men were “casing” his house.
He described the suspects. Moments later, the resident called back to advise authorities that the two men had left in a vehicle.
An officer spotted a car traveling on Roosevelt Boulevard near Pepperland Boulevard. Inside, according to court documents, were two men who matched the caller's description.
Police identified Hollobaugh as the driver and Boyd as the front-seat passenger. On the floor of Boyd's seat, documents said, appeared to be drug packaging materials.
Both defendants were taken to the station. A search of Boyd turned up 28 stamp bags of suspected heroin and two plastic bags containing a combined 8.72 grams of suspected crack, police said.
He also had 13 strips of Suboxone, which is a narcotic-based drug prescribed to treat addiction to heroin and powerful painkillers such as oxycodone.
