Butler High School will present the musical, “The Little Mermaid,” at 7:30 p.m. March 16 and 17 in the senior high auditorium, 120 Campus Lane.

Tickets are $12 at the door or presold for $10 at May's Music Shoppe, 247 E Jefferson St.

Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories and the classic animated film “Disney's 'The Little Mermaid'” is a love story for the ages.

With music by eight-time Academy-Award-winner, Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater and a book by Doug Wright, this fishy fable features irresistible songs, including “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl” and “Part of Your World.”

Dale VanLaningham is the director, Stephanie Marshall, the musical staging director and Alicia Erevia, the vocal director

Danielle Smith is the choreographer, Shanna Kelly, the pit conductor and Phil Hankey, the technical director.
