Richard Beahm

Richard Beahm, 87, of Jackson Township passed away Tuesday while under the care of the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born March 18, 1930, at home in Jackson Township, he was the son of the late Philip Beahm and Grace Berry Beahm.

Rich was a 1947 graduate of Zelienople High School, where he played football.

He was a retired dairy farmer. Rich worked for five years for the Seneca Valley School District. He was very active in the children's 4-H program. He was a member of Milk Marketing Inc., Taylor's Dairy and the Dairyman's Cooperative Sales Association. He also was a past member of the Holstein Association.

Rich was also a lifelong member of the Grace Church of Harmony, where he was a past member of Consistory. He served as past president of the Beahm family reunion. He enjoyed playing dominoes, gardening, taking bus trips, word puzzles and Purple Martins. He will be dearly missed.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Janet Quigley Beahm, whom he married Feb. 28, 1964, at Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Evans City; his children, Kathleen (Thomas) Weber, Charleen (David) Brockhoff, Leonard (Arlene) Sutton, Charles (Michelle) Sutton, Judy (Ronald) Double and Rachel (Mark) Dean; and numerous grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Rich was preceded in death by his brothers, Philip and Clifford; and his sister, Jean Hanna.

BEAHM — Friends of Richard Beahm, who died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace Church of Harmony, 538 Main St., Harmony, with Pastor Peter Everett and Pastor Dave Goetschius officiating. Friends are asked to please meet at the church.Rich will be laid to rest at Butler County Memorial Park.Memorial donations may be made in his honor to the American Heart Association, Four Gateway Center, 444 Liberty Ave., Ste. 1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
