Tiffany Seitz of Freeport was crowned Miss Butler County at the 35th Miss Butler County Scholarship Pageant Saturday at the Butler Senior High School Auditorium.

Three other titles were awarded at the event, which was hosted by Julia Wilkins, 2017 Miss Butler County, the daughter of Sue and Richard Wilkins.

Seitz is the daughter of Lori and Leonard Seitz of Freeport. She is 22 and a May 2017 graduate of Grove City College with a bachelor of science degree in entrepreneurship and a minor in communication studies. Her platform was “Building Families through Adoption.”

Paige Lumley, daughter of Theresa and John Lumley of Johnstown, was crowned Miss Moraine State. Paige is 23 and an April 2016 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering.

Paige is working on obtaining her master's degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business. Her platform was “Project Green: Simple Sustainability.”

Riley Evans was named Miss Butler County's Outstanding Teen. She is the daughter of Tracy and Randy Evans of Bethel Park. The 15-year-old is a sophomore at Bethel Park Senior High School. Her platform was promoting brain cancer awareness.

Cordray Negley, daughter of Heston and John Negley of Butler, was crowned Miss Moraine State's Outstanding Teen. Cordray is 16 and a junior at Butler Senior High School. Her platform was the Autism Speaks Foundation.

The four young women will have the opportunity to represent Butler County and the Moraine State region at the state competition for the Miss Pennsylvania and Miss Pennsylvania's Outstanding Teen Scholarship pageants.

The state competition will be in June at Shady Side Academy in Pittsburgh.

Local directors for the Miss Butler County Scholarship Pageant include Judith Hughes, Jessica Kennedy and Lucy Mudrick.
