Barbara Lou Walker, 80, of Zelienople, formerly of Marienville, passed away Wednesday morning at UPMC Passavant Hospital.

Born in Pittsburgh on Nov. 30, 1937, she was the daughter of the late John and Kathryn Zapf Stringert.

Surviving are three sons, Chuck (Sylvia) Walker of Butler, Jeffrey (Kathy) Walker of Butler and Mike (Crystal) Walker of Marienville; a daughter, Debbie (Ron) Schwenke of Virginia; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a brother, John (Rose) Stringert of Pittsburgh; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Walker, who died in 1999; two sons, Robert and William David Walker; a brother, Robert Stringert; and a sister, Roberta Nicotra.
