Drug suspect to be returned to Texas after disposition of Butler charges
A Texas man, charged in Butler County with conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine and heroin, will be returned to his home state to face a parole violation after waiving extradition in Butler County Court on Monday.
Judge William Shaffer ordered that Davane Jones, 29, of Dallas, be held in Butler County until his charges here are disposed, before being returned to Texas.
Jones is scheduled for formal arraignment May 15 on the felony charge of conspiracy to commit possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
He was arrested alongside Erika E. Ringler, 30, of Butler, after a drug raid for Ringler's apartment.
Jones was later found to be wanted in Texas for a parole violation.
Jones continues to be held in the Butler County Prison on $200,000 bail while Ringler continues to be held on $50,000 bail.
