No tax increase in Karns City draft budget
The Karns City School Board on Monday reviewed a draft of the preliminary 2018-19 budget that does not include a tax increase.
The board reviewed the draft but did not vote on it. A vote on the preliminary budget is expected at the May 14 board meeting, said Superintendent Eric Ritzert.
Budget figures were not available before Monday’s meeting, but the draft version of the budget maintains the current real estate tax rates of 91.95 mills for residents living in Butler County, 45.07 mills for Armstrong County residents and 46.87 mills for Clarion County residents.
