Wayne D. Kiebler
Wayne D. Kiebler, 80, formerly of Portersville passed away Thursday while under the care of the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.
Born on June 13, 1937, in Grove City, he was the son of the late Louis R. Kiebler and Glenola Dight Kiebler.
After graduating from Grove City High School, Wayne entered the U.S. Air Force and served as an air traffic controller.
After receiving an honorable discharge from the Air Force, Wayne continued his career as an air traffic controller across the United States at many locations including the Pittsburgh, Washington Dulles, Newark and Kennedy airports.
After his retirement, Wayne returned to Western Pennsylvania where he enjoyed working on his farm property, being outdoors, golfing, crossword puzzles and brain games.
Wayne was a member of the Portersville Bible Church.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dorothy M. Kennedy Kiebler; his son, Rene C. Kiebler, and his wife, Andrea, of Delaware Water Gap, Pa.; his two grandchildren, Matthew and Andrew; and his three sisters, Gwendolyn Yelland and her husband, Lloyd, of Slippery Rock, Vernie Smith and her husband, Ken, of Charlotte, N.C., and Yvonne Duhl of Huntington Beach, Calif.
Wayne will be dearly missed by his family and his friends.
KIEBLER — The family of Wayne D. Kiebler, who died Thursday, March 22, 2018, will welcome friends at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Portersville Bible Church, 156 E. Portersville Road, Portersville, until the time of Wayne's memorial service at 4 p.m. Pastor Michael Charles will officiate. The memorial service will be followed by a light meal at the church.Arrangements were entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E.
