Robert “Bob” Eugene Freemon Sr.
Robert “Bob” Eugene Freemon Sr., 91, of Butler died peacefully at Concordia at the Orchard in Butler on Wednesday.
Bob was born in Lawrenceburg, Tenn. in 1926.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Theresa K. Freemon; and his three children, Charlotte Freemon Dodd, Robert “Little Bob” Freemon and Elizabeth “Beth” Freemon; and his brothers and sisters, Joseph A. Freemon, Howard P. Freemon, Noble E. Freemon Jr., Joyce Martin and Mary Freemon.
Bob is survived by his brother, James F. Freemon DDS of Winder, Ga. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Bob was proud of his service in the U.S. Navy during World War II, his position as president of his trade union at PPG Industries, where he worked as a chemist, and his status as a grand master bridge player, prevailing in many international bridge tournaments.
Bob donated his organs and body, and his ashes will be interred at Freemon Cemetery in Leoma, Tenn.
