Joy A. Cook Toomey, 54, of Penn Township passed away Friday.

She was the beloved wife of Donald E. Toomey Jr.; the loving mother of Renee and Donald R. Toomey; the daughter of Roy and Betty Ann Neely Cook; the sister of Beth Bastian, Terry Oliver and Roy (Jan) Cook, Deborah (Neil) McArthur and Diane (Steven) Vasquez; and the daughter-in-law of Donald and Rita (Martin) Sr.

She was also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Joy was passionate about art, painting, photography and flowers.

She loved visiting Ocracoke Beach in North Carolina, searching for seashells and spending time with her family.
