Phyllis A. DeVore
Phyllis A. DeVore, 87, of Warren, Pa., died peacefully Thursday afternoon.
She was born Feb. 12, 1931, in Prospect, and was the daughter of the late Ralph Vincent and Mary Annalean Albert Davis.
Phyllis was a Warren area resident most of her life.
She was a 1948 graduate of Butler High School and a 1951 graduate of Allegheny General Hospital School of Nursing, as a registered nurse. She earned her surgical nursing education from Cook County Hospital in Chicago.
Phyllis was a member of the Allegheny General Hospital School of Nursing Alumni. She was employed with the Warren General Hospital, Warren State Hospital, Warren Dental Arts and Visiting Nursing of Warren and Meadville.
She enjoyed crafting and numerous card clubs. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 65 years, Lyle E. DeVore Sr., whom she married Aug. 21, 1952, at First English Church in Butler.
She is also survived by four sons, Lyle E. DeVore Jr. and his wife, Mary Ann, of Midlothian, Texas, Chuck D. DeVore and his wife, Donna Marie, of Gilbertsville, Pa., Scott D. DeVore and his wife, Raisa, of Orlando, Fla., and Brad P. DeVore and his wife, Katie, of Jamestown, N.Y.; two sisters, Alice Arnetta Saul of Butler, and Glenna Ruth Zaborny and her husband, Joe, of Coral Springs, Fla., 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
DEVORE — Friends of Phyllis A. DeVore, who died Thursday, April 5, 2018, will be received from 10 until 11 a.m. Tuesday followed by a memorial service at First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. J. Maier officiating.The Donald E.
