Beryl Rectanus

Beryl Fennell Rectanus, 91, of Verona, Pa. passed away Jan. 11 with her devoted daughter by her side.

Born Dec. 19, 1926, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Floyd R. and Ola Anthony Fennell.

She was a graduate of the Butler High School Class of 1944. She also was a graduate of the Grace Martin Business School in Pittsburgh.

Beryl was the beloved wife of the late Milton Rectanus, whom she married at First United Methodist Church in Butler.

She is survived by one daughter, Meryl Thomas and her husband, Jim, of Penn Hills; one son, James Rectanus of Pittsburgh; one brother, Leighton Fennell of Cabot; and one sister, Phyllis Stutz Heaton of Butler.

She was the proud grandmother of four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Beryl was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Richard Rectanus; one brother, Alan Fennell; and two sisters, Shirley Hepting Edwards and Elaine Newcaster.

She will be forever missed by all who knew her.
