Corinne “Connie” (Bronder) Males

Corinne “Connie” (Bronder) Males, 82, of Hampton Township passed away on Sunday.

Born June 17, 1935, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Bertha (Guza) Bronder.

While working at Mellon Bank, Connie met Ron and they would meet under the Kaufmann's clock. They were married on May 3, 1958, at St. Canice Church in Pittsburgh.

She was a member of St. Catherine of Sweden Roman Catholic Church and the Meridian Vets Club Ladies Auxiliary. She worked as a teacher's aide at Central Elementary in Hampton Township. A patron of the Pittsburgh Symphony Pops, she also enjoyed listening to Andrea Bocelli and watching classic movies.

Connie loved crochet, crafts and cooking. She did puzzles and crosswords, played bingo and “words with friends.” She liked traveling with family to Canada, Myrtle Beach, Gettysburg and the cottage at Conneaut Lake. Every Christmas, she would take each child on their own shopping day downtown.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Males; her children, Lori (Mark) Schneider of Mars, Michael Males of Hampton Township and Karen (Francis) Males-Benson of Butler; her granddaughters, Melissa (Paul) Papariella and Amanda Novak, both of Hampton Township; her great-grandchildren, Tony Papariella, Mike Males, Mia Males and Joe Papariella; her brother, Walter “Floyd” Bronder of Springfield, Va.; and a sister, Barbara Jean Pogue of Ross Township. She is also survived by many cousins; nieces; nephews; and her dogs, Maxine and Tara.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Kimberly Wundrow, who died March 13, 2016, and Leslie Rae Males, who died Aug. 17, 2016.

MALES — The family of Corinne “Connie” (Bronder) Males, who died Sunday, April 22, 2018, will welcome friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at King Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park.A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Catherine of Sweden Roman Catholic Church, 2554 Wildwood Road, Allison Park.The family suggests memorial donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Connie's family at www.kingfuneralhome.com.
