Domenick Tallerico
Domenick Tallerico, 91, of Economy Borough, formerly of Seneca Falls, N.Y., passed away peacefully Sunday.
Born Sept. 14, 1926, he was the son of the late John and Domenica Tallerico.
Dom proudly served in World War II in the U.S. Army as an MP. He was part of the first troops to land in Hiroshima after the bombings in 1945.
He also was a 70-year member of UA Local 73 of the international union, United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the plumbing and pipe fitting industry, and a founding member of Local 802 in Geneva, N.Y.
He lived in Seneca Falls, N.Y., most of his adult life and owned and operated Tallerico's Restaurant with his wife, Lorraine.
He was the beloved husband of 60 years to the late Lorraine Tallerico, who preceded him in death on June 16, 2010; loving father of Judy (Robert) Babish and Donna (John) Cahill; dear grandfather of Jillian (Shawn) Zentko and Jessica, Allison and Bryan Cahill; great-grandfather of Capri Angeline; and brother of Frank Tallerico. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, located in the United States, Argentina and Italy.
Domenick was preceded in death by his siblings, Anthony, Joseph, John, James, Albert and Paulina.
