Phylis “Joanne” McWilliams
Phylis “Joanne” McWilliams, 88, of Center Township passed away Sunday in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family.
Born Oct. 26, 1929, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Earl Lumley and Hazel Emmett Lumley.
Joanne was the manager of food services for G.C. Murphy for 30 years. She retired and then began working for AVI Food Systems in Butler until recently, serving another 30 years.
Joanne leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Larry McWilliams and his companion, Barb, of Butler, Sharon Varner of Butler, and Susan Dalcamo and her husband, Frank, of Butler; her brother, Robert Lumley of Petrolia; her sister-in-law, Marilyn Lumley of Tarentum; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Norma Jean; and her brothers, Harry, Frank, Melvin, Paul, Ronald and Darl.
McWILLIAMS — Friends of Phylis “Joanne” McWilliams, who died Sunday, May 6, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Boylan Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.She will be laid to rest privately.Memorial donations may be made in her honor to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Pittsburgh Chapter, 1100 Liberty Ave., Suite E-201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
