Geraldine Rosalia “Gerry” Myers
Geraldine Rosalia “Gerry” Myers, 78, of Lancaster Township passed away Wednesday in the comfort of her home.
Born June 28, 1939, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Bernard Martin Stefanik and Anna Niskach Stefanik; sister of Johanna Buri (late husband, Frank) of Venetia, Pa., the late Dorothy Staley and her surviving husband, Ed, of Valencia and Anna Marie Rimel (late husband, Butch) of Mercer; and the aunt of numerous nieces and nephews.
Gerry was the owner and operator of Myers' Beauty Shop in Harmony and Myers' Ceramic Shop in Middle Lancaster. Gerry was very gifted and enjoyed teaching her crafts to others, including basket making, broom making, weaving rugs on her loom, stained glass, embroidery, sewing, woodworking, painting and decorating pysanky eggs. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
Gerry leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 56 years, Herman Dean Myers, whom she married on Aug. 1, 1961; her children, Dina (Dale) Barkley and Davina (Frank Baric) Myers, both of Harmony; her grandchildren, Israel (Amber) Barkley of Harmony and Justin (Colleen) Barkley of Cranberry Township; and her great-grandchildren, Treedon, Zaydra and Olivia.
MYERS — A memorial service to celebrate the life of Geraldine Rosalia “Gerry” Myers, who died Wednesday, May 9, 2018, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018, at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E.
