Weekend drug raid lands two in jail
A weekend drug raid in Butler netted county narcotics officers suspected crack cocaine and other contraband — and landed two men behind bars, authorities said.
The Butler County Drug Task Force arrested John C. Lefevre, 54, of Butler and David A. Riker, 40, of Lyndora. Both men are facing felony and misdemeanor drug charges.
Officers found the defendants at Lefevre's apartment on the 500 block of South Washington Street, investigators said, where they went about 8 p.m. Friday to serve a search warrant.
The search, according to court documents, turned up 4.09 grams of suspected crack, empty stamp bags of suspected heroin, a crack pipe, two digital scales, drug-packaging materials, two cell phones and $214 in currency.
Task force officer John Johnson, who also is a Butler police detective, noted in his affidavit that the amount of drugs found along with the packaging materials and scales “indicate that the crack cocaine was being sold at that residence.”
District Judge Kevin O'Donnell arraigned both Lefevre and Riker on felony charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and conspiracy to commit possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance
