Donna Mae Darkowski

Donna Mae Darkowski, 81, of Petrolia passed away Saturday evening in the emergency room of Butler Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness stricken at home.

Born Feb. 14, 1937, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Joseph and Marie Louise Stiefvater Kazyak.

Donna was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in West Sunbury.

She enjoyed bingo, playing “scratchie-tickets” and the challenge of computer games.

She is survived by a son, James G. Darkowski of Petrolia, with whom she resided; two daughters, Diane (Bill) Ringeisen of Pittsburgh, and Melissa Elk of Parker; eight grandchildren, Andy and Stacey Darkowski, Jocelyn, Juliann, Stephanie and Will Ringeisen, Nicole Elk and Bethany Hawk; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Donna was also preceded in death by her husband, Gerald W. Darkowski, who passed away in October 2012; a son, Gerald A. Darkowski, who passed away in December 2016; and her sisters, Cassi Wyman and Lori Kazyak.

Wayne Ave. Parker.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Louis Catholic Church in West Sunbury with the Rev.
