No one injured after SUV reverses into Cranberry Township home
CRANBERRY TWP — No one was injured when an SUV traveling in reverse crashed into a house on Pemberly Drive in the Township Sunday.
At about 6:55 p.m. the vehicle crashed through the wall and into the home's garage, damaging the two cars inside.
The driver, a woman in her seventies, had pulled out in reverse from the residence across the street when the vehicle accelerated past the street, through the yard and into the garage through the wall.
Inside the garage the vehicles displaced the home's garage door and damaged equipment.
Township officers issued no citations in the crash, said Sgt. Chuck Mascellino, and officers have made no official findings as to why the vehicle accelerated, whether operator error or technical failure.
Responders cleared the scene at around 8:45 p.m.
