Goldie Ann Rader
Goldie Ann Rader, 66, of Jackson Township passed away suddenly Thursday.
Born June 22, 1951, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Clarence L. Bowden and Frances E. Quigley Bowden.
Goldie was a graduate of Laurel High School in New Castle. She later went on to graduate with high honors from ICM School of Business in Pittsburgh.
She retired as an office manager.
Goldie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Harmony, where she served on the council and was involved with WELCA and the fellowship group. She previously attended Plains Presbyterian Church, serving as the clerk of session, a deacon, a Bible school teacher and a Sunday school teacher.
In high school, she volunteered with the Easterseals and at Dixmont State Hospital with the American Red Cross. She also volunteered as a Girl Scout leader.
She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Gary L. Rader, whom she married Dec. 18, 1970; her daughters, Rachel (Michael) Dittmer of Butler, and Renee (Kevin) Boozel of Slippery Rock; her grandchildren, Zachory (Marie) Boozel, Colton (Kia) Boozel, Makayla Dittmer and Hope Dittmer; her brother, Earl (Helen) Bowden of Portersville; her sisters, Lois (Russell) McCombs and Sara Lee (Jerry) Badger, both of New Castle; three nieces; three nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, Goldie was preceded in death by her niece, Adriane Park.
RADER — A memorial service for Goldie Ann Rader, who died Thursday, June 7, 2018, will be held at 5 p.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, 557 Perry Hwy., Harmony, with Pastor Nathaneil Christman and Pastor Susie Esseck officiating.Goldie will be laid to rest privately at Neshannock Presbyterian Church Cemetery.Arrangements were entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home, Zelienople.Memorial donations may be made in her honor to Zion Lutheran Church or to the Harmony Volunteer Fire Department, 533 Main St., Harmony, PA 16037.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
