Rosemarie “Honey” Walsh

Rosemarie “Honey” Walsh, of Granger, Ind., formerly of Butler, passed away Friday at St. Joseph Regional Hospital in South Bend, Ind.

Honey graduated from Butler High School with the Class of 1966. She married her high school sweetheart, Tom, and they spent 47 years together before his death in 2016.

While living in Butler, she was employed at Butler Memorial Hospital and Perkins Restaurant. Honey's favorite job was working at Dito Swiss Bakery in South Bend. She always had a smile on her face and developed friendships with customers and co-workers.

She was a member of St. Pius Roman Catholic Church in Granger, Ind. and a former member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

Honey was a loving, caring person who always put family first. She loved making and selling crafts and creative writing. She volunteered as an usher at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center at Notre Dame, Ind.

She is survived by her mother, Mary; her two sons, Timothy and Daniel; her grandson, Austin; her two sisters, Chris (Kim) Rensel and Martha (Robert) Cawthorne; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father.

WALSH — Visitation for Rosemarie Walsh, who died Friday, June 15, 2018, will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N.
