Donald E. Reimer

Donald E. Reimer, 86, of Adams Township passed away on Wednesday in the comfort of his home.

Born Sept. 28, 1931, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Frank M. Reimer and Mary A. Baumeister Reimer.

Donald was a member of Old Union Presbyterian Church and served as an elder and was a member of the Willing Workers.

He retired after 39 years as an electrician at Halstead Industries in Zelienople. He was formerly employed by Walmart as a claims manager.

Donald was a member of the Harmony Lodge 429 F&AM and was associated with Mars baseball.

He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

Donald leaves behind to cherish his memory his six children, Jody L. (Tony) Mastrangelo of Pennsbury Village, Pa., Donna L. (Gerald) Gasparin of Middlesex Township, Gayle A. (Allan) Murray of Ellwood City, Sandra L. (Murray) Charles of Willow Springs, N.C., Jeffrey E. (Cindy) Reimer of La Habra, Calif., and Matthew D. (Star) Reimer of Wilmington, N.C.; his 10 grandchildren; his six great-grandchildren; and his stepsister, Nancy (Sam) Love of New Kensington.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Alma E. McMurdo Reimer, who passed away on Feb. 8, 2004; and his sister, Shirley Ann LaBourde.

REIMER — Friends of Donald E. Reimer, who died Wednesday, July 11, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.A funeral service to celebrate Donald's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, with the Rev. Dr. Peter C. de Vries officiating. Everyone, please meet at the church.Donald will be laid to rest at Old Union Church Cemetery in Adams Township.Memorial contributions in Donald's honor may be made to Old Union Presbyterian Church, or to the VNA Inpatient Hospice, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
