Thomas Daniel “Tommy” Beechey Jr.

Thomas Daniel “Tommy” Beechey Jr., 53, of Butler, passed away with his mother at his side Saturday at Saxony Health Center after a long battle with bladder cancer.

Born Oct. 25, 1964, in Butler, he was the son of the late Thomas Daniel and Gloria Lindell Beechey.

Tommy was a 1983 graduate of Butler High School and furthered his studies at BC3 receiving an associate degree in computer science. He also studied at Indiana University.

Tommy worked as a caregiver for one of the United Way's group homes. Tommy's field of expertise was computer science, but he also enjoyed writing and reading poetry and was a member of the writer's guild. He was in the process at the time of his passing of having his first book submitted for publishing.

He will be lovingly missed and fondly remembered.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Gloria, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas “Tom” Daniel Beechey.

BEECHEY — Funeral services for Thomas Daniel “Tommy” Beechey Jr., who died Saturday, July 21, 2018, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., Butler.Tommy will be laid to rest at the Saxonburg Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to The First Baptist Church.Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Tommy's family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
