Ellen “Ellie” Judy Sullivan

Ellen “Ellie” Judy Sullivan, 77, of Hilliards passed away Tuesday at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler.

Born Sept. 19, 1940, in Rimersburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late David J. and Minnie Bowser Yates.

Ellie was a graduate of the Union High School then later attended Kittanning School of Beauty.

She was the proud owner of Ellen's Beauty Shop of Sligo. After retirement, she then worked at the Parker Personal Care Home cooking for the residents.

Ellie was quick to lend a helping hand to those who needed one by not only caring for the residents but helping feed those who were not able to feed themselves.

Ellie was a very artistic individual. She loved making wooden crafts, crocheting, cake decorating and enjoyed making flower arrangements for weddings. Ellie will be best remembered by being very giving and helping to those in her family and community.

Ellie is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Bill) Dunkle of Murrinsville; her son, Edward Pago Jr. of Cranberry (Seneca); two sisters, Katherine Steele and Gail Standford, both of Rimersburg; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Bailey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard “Dick” Sullivan, who died Aug. 3, 2010; her brother, James Yates; and her sisters, Melva Boyles and Billie Summerville.

SULLIVAN — Friends of Ellen “Ellie” Judy Sullivan, who died Tuesday, July 24, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Washington St., Eau Claire.The funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Barger of the Scrubgrass Church officiating. A private interment will be at Mt.
