Ronald P. Stengel

Ronald P. Stengel, 86, of Mars passed away on Sunday at UPMC Passavant Hospital.

Born April 28, 1932, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late William and Josephine Huesman Stengel.

Ron served as a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Ron and his wife, Carole, were the owners of R & C Lift, Inc., in Valencia. He also was a longtime employee for Yale Industrial Trucks in Monroeville.

He was a member of St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church since 1958.

Surviving are his wife, Carole Kolter Stengel, whom he married on Sept. 15, 1956; two daughters, Dianne M. (Fred) Maihle of Meridian, and Valerie (Eric) Bjorn of Tullahoma, Tenn.; a son, William L. (Deborah) Stengel of Gibsonia; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Leslie A. Kozar; two brothers, William F. Stengel M.D. and Norbert Stengel; and a sister, Elizabeth Whalen.

STENGEL — The family of Ronald P. Stengel, who died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018, will greet friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church, 7076 Franklin Road, Cranberry Township.Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the church with the Rev. Charles Bober officiating.Burial will be in Holy Savior Cemetery in Richland Township.Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.Memorials may be made to St. Kilian Church Building Fund.Condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
