Dorothy E. McKinney

Dorothy E. McKinney, 104, of Portersville passed away Monday at Creek Meadows in Zelienople.

Born July 8, 1914, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Elmer John and Anna Mae Spears Herrscher.

She was married to Bertus B. McKinney, who passed away in 1983.

She was preceded in death by her two children, Doris (Harold) English and Elmer McKinney; and a grandson, Bryan McKinney.

Dorothy was a former active member of Franklin Park Baptist Church.

She enjoyed cooking. Her most cherished time was spent with her family.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Arlene McKinney of Portersville; five grandchildren, Kim English, Dawn Lilly, Beth (Tom) Brest, Keith (Celia) English and Brad (Ginger) McKinney; 11 great-grandchildren; and seven great- great-grandchildren.

MCKINNEY — Visiting hours for Dorothy E. McKinney, who died Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 5 p.m. Sunday at Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave., Ellwood City. Pastor George Palombo will officiate the service.Final interment will take place in Franklin Park Baptist Cemetery in Sewickley.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.Online condolences may be sent to marshallsfh.com.
