Carol Ann Lambert

Carol Ann Lambert, 71, of Bruin passed away Monday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

She was born Aug. 7, 1947, in Butler County, and was the daughter of William Howard McClure Sr. and Mary Josephine (Steele) McClure.

Carol attended Karns City High School and lived in Michigan for many years. She returned to the Bruin area over 25 years ago.

Carol graduated from Kittanning Beauty School in 1988, and ran her own shop, The Beauty Spot, in Bradys Bend.

In her free time, Carol loved working in her gardens, where she especially enjoyed growing sunflowers and watching and feeding birds. Baking and crocheting were two of her favorite hobbies and she also had fun playing the lottery and going to casinos.

Her memory will be cherished by her stepson, Terry Sweeney and his wife, Mary, of Rimersburg; her stepdaughter, Cathy Ealy and her husband, Terry, of Hooker; her great-granddaughter, Brooke Ealy, whom Carol called “Bubba”; her brothers, William H. McClure Jr. of Parker, and Clifford L. McClure of Kaylor; her sisters, Sarah Alice “Sally” Campbell and her husband, Ronald, of Wolverine, Mich., and Mary Agnes “Susie” Anthony and her companion, Ken Ashbaugh, of Petrolia.

She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her companion, John B. Sweeney; and her sister, Nancy J. Crisman.
