"Superload" to slow Route 8 and 108 traffic Sunday
'Superload' to slow weekend traffic
A so-called “superload” on the move from Turtle Creek, Allegheny County, to North Beaver Township, Lawrence County, will slow traffic on various roads along its route starting today, state transportation officials said.
Crews from Miller Transfer will be moving a steam condenser, according to a news release from PennDOT. State police and safety personnel will escort the superload, and motorists should expect delays.
The company said the move will take multiple days, and the superload won't arrive in Butler County until midday Sunday, when it will proceed from Belmont Pine Bowling Alley along Route 8 north, and later along Route 108 west in Butler and Lawrence counties.
