George E. “Pete” Snyder

George E. “Pete” Snyder, 86, of Butler passed away Sunday afternoon at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.

Born Dec. 28, 1931, in Butler, he was a son of the late George L. and Clare Mangel Snyder.

He worked for Union Bank in California for many years.

A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he served in the Korean conflict.

Pete is survived by two sisters, Patricia Cousins of Butler and Linda Morrow of Huntington, W.Va.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

SNYDER — A graveside blessing service for George E. “Pete” Snyder, who died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary of the Assumption Cemetery, 821 Herman Road, Butler, with the Rev. Ward Stakem, O.F.M. Cap., officiating.Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery.Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.For more information, please visit www.martinfh.net.
