Seven Fields man facing over 100 charges for child porn
SEVEN FIELDS — An investigation into the downloading of child pornography turned up more than 500 files and resulted in more than 100 felony charges for a borough man, authorities said.
Jacob J. Schmader, 42, is charged with 50 counts of dissemination of a photo or film of child sex acts, 50 counts of child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communication facility.
State police Thursday arrested Schmader after a search warrant was served at his home, culminating an undercover investigation that began May 17, according to court documents, when a computer on the BitTorrent file sharing network was found to “seed” child pornography to the network.
