Betty L. Prager Bias

Betty L. Prager Bias, 75, of Madison, W.Va., entered her heavenly home on Wednesday after a long illness.

She was born on Jan. 1, 1943, in Natrona Heights to John and Ella Ruth Prager.

She was a 1960 graduate of Freeport High School.

She spent the majority of her life as a homemaker, a baby sitter and a professional seamstress at Betty's Sewing Basket and Logan Manufacturing.

She was a member of and faithful teacher in the children's church at Fountain of Life Worship Center in Rock Creek, W.Va.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family, attending church, sewing, crocheting, playing bingo and watching her beloved Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.

She is survived by her sons, Jeff (Kim) Bias of Poca, W.Va., and John (Kim) Bias of Rock Creek, W.Va.; her daughters, Lisa Britton (Gene Ulbrich) of Madison, W.Va., and Terri (Chris) Tudor of Madison, W.Va.; the father of her children, Roger Bias of Big Ugly, W.Va.; her grandchildren, Chris, Blake (Kayla), Justin, Preston and Nathan Bias, Matthew and Andrew Britton, and Hayley Tudor; her step-grandchildren, Noah and Zoie Jarrell and Nevaeh Grodek; and one great-grandchild, Mason Bias.

She also is survived by a special niece, Crystal Prager Adams of Louisville, Ky.; a sister, Janice Schuller of Sarver; a brother, Don Prager of Berea, Ohio; and a special friend/sister, Jody Boggess; as well as a host of family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Ann Berry; and brother, John “Jack” Prager Jr.

BIAS — Friends of Betty L. Prager Bias, who died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, may call at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Fountain of Life Worship Center at Rock Creek, W.Va.A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church with Pastor Ronnie Luke officiating.Burial will be in Family Memorial Gardens, Madison, W.Va.Handley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you become an organ donor and give the gift of life as Betty would have celebrated her 10-year anniversary of a double lung transplant on Oct. 7, 2018.Please visit www.handleyfh.com.
