Ralph Nicholas Cepec

Ralph Nicholas Cepec

Ralph Nicholas Cepec, 80, of Butler passed away peacefully on Sunday while under the care of the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

Born Sept. 19, 1938, in Pitcairn, he was the son of the late Samuel and Pauline Druska Cepec.

Ralph was a store manager at Shop 'n Save in Mount Lebanon for 27 years. He developed such a rapport with his employees that they became like family to him.

He especially enjoyed dancing with his late wife, Bernadine. Ralph was an eternal optimist and a “larger than life” kind of man who was a protector to many. He was a hardened man, but imparted many “Ralphisms” through his wisdom. A “teddy bear,” he was also a very tender man, who enjoyed taking care of people.

Ralph loved people, loved life and had friends wherever he went. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all of his many friends and family.

Ralph was the beloved husband of the late Bernadine Briggs Cepec, whom he married on June 6, 1959, and who passed away on Nov. 9, 2014; father to Ralph Allan (Sandra) Cepec of Statesboro, Ga., Susanne Louise Cepec Croft of Atlanta, Ga., and Marianne (Clinton) Bonetti of Butler; grandfather to the late Stephen Cepec, who is survived by his wife, Melanie Price Cepec, Rebekah (Levi) Qualls, Samuel (Holly Linderman) Cepec, Robert and Shawn Cepec, Kayley Croft, and Ava and Clinton Bonetti; brother of the late Robert Cepec, James (Pat) Cepec of Pitcairn, Joseph (Carol) Cepec of Harrison City, Pa., the late Eddie Cepec, Helen (Bill) Klassen of Butler, and the late Anna (the late John) Plecenik; uncle to 10 nieces and nephews; and dear friend to Jack Feil. He is now reunited with his beloved dog, Rex.
